01. OUTLOOK
As we enter the holiday season, the Pacific Northwest typically experiences a seasonal slowdown, with the rainy weather keeping fewer buyers out actively looking at homes. However, this year has been different. The Northwest Multiple Listing Service (NWMLS) reported a 29.8% increase in total listings compared to the same time last year, indicating a significant rise in market activity.
Even with unsteady interest rates, home sales have shown resilience. The NWMLS experienced a 22.5% increase in the number of homes sold over the previous year. This stability is largely attributed to ongoing regional growth, which has helped counterbalance buyer uncertainty.
While interest rates remain unpredictable, demand continues to support an increase in sales and the market continues to remain balanced despite the changes in the seasons.
