Creating Locals Since 1946
Hawkins-Poe has been part of the South Sound since 1946, when Jack Hawkins opened a small real estate office in Fircrest, Washington. What began as a neighborhood brokerage built on relationships has grown into one of the region’s most respected locally owned real estate firms while still holding onto the same values it started with.
Jack Hawkins believed something simple but powerful: “Folks will make good decisions if I give them good information.” That belief became the foundation of the company. Real estate has always been about helping people understand their options, make confident decisions, and find the place where their lives will unfold.
After Jack’s passing, the company continued under the leadership of respected real estate innovator Burns Poe, who carried the brokerage forward for more than two decades. In 1984, Frank and Teresa Hawkins purchased the business and returned it to the Hawkins family, continuing the legacy that began nearly forty years earlier.
